We are happy to announce that the Inner Music and Wellbeing Network is a Strategic Partners of the 4th World Tinnitus Congress & the XV International Tinnitus Seminar. The symposium will take place in London from 30 June to 2 July 2027.
Dr Freya Bailes, our network’s Principal Investigator, will lead the scientific track titled ‘Consciousness, Inner Music, and Auditory Imagery: Neuroscientific, Clinical, and Cultural Perspectives‘. This track explores how internally generated auditory experiences — including auditory imagery, musical hallucinosis, and ‘exploding head syndrome’ — relate to tinnitus and broader theories of consciousness. Active inference and predictive coding models are used to understand how the brain fills in absent sensory input.
Special thanks to our network member Dr Hashir Aazh, President of the World Tinnitus Congress, for inviting us to be part of this event.
